Method
- Place the ground beef in a bowl and season with salt and black pepper. Gently mix, then shape into 4 burger patties about the size of your buns.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat for about 1 minute so the burgers cook evenly.
- Place the patties in the hot skillet and cook for about 4 minutes on the first side.
- Flip the burgers and cook for about 4 minutes more, or until browned and cooked through. Add a cheese slice to each patty during the last minute so it melts.
- Place each cheesy burger patty onto a bun, close the burger, and serve hot.
Notes
For juicy burgers, do not overwork the meat when shaping the patties and avoid pressing down on them while cooking. You can also add lettuce or tomato if you want an easy variation.
