- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a baking dish.
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Add taco seasoning, beans, corn, and salsa. Stir well and simmer for about 5 minutes.
- Spread half of the crushed tortilla chips evenly in the baking dish.
- Pour the beef mixture over the chips and spread evenly.
- Top with shredded cheese, covering the entire surface.
- Bake for 15 to 20 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Remove from the oven and let rest for a few minutes before serving.
- Top with fresh lettuce and tomatoes just before serving.
Notes
Customize this casserole with your favorite toppings like sour cream, avocado, or jalapenos. For a lighter version, use ground turkey or low-fat cheese. Add chips just before baking to keep them crispy.
