Ingredients

Pudding Base
  • 1 box instant vanilla pudding mix 3.4 oz size
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk 14 oz
  • 1.5 cups cold water
Whipped Cream
  • 3 cups heavy whipping cream
Filling & Layers
  • 4 bananas ripe, sliced 1/4 inch thick
  • 1 box vanilla wafers

Method

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the pudding mix, sweetened condensed milk, and cold water until smooth. Refrigerate for 10 minutes to thicken.
  2. Whip the heavy cream in a separate bowl until soft peaks form.
  3. Gently fold the whipped cream into the pudding mixture until fully incorporated and smooth.
  4. Slice bananas into 1/4-inch pieces.
  5. In a trifle dish or glass bowl, layer vanilla wafers, sliced bananas, and pudding mixture. Repeat layers until the dish is full, ending with a layer of pudding.
  6. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight to allow the flavors to meld and the wafers to soften.

Notes

  • For variation, try using Chessmen cookies or Biscoff cookies instead of wafers.
  • Make sure to use ripe bananas for the best flavor, and serve chilled.
