  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 3 cups cooked white rice warm
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger minced
  • 2 green onions sliced

  • Rice Cooker or Pot

Method
 

  1. Cook the rice according to package directions and keep it warm.
  2. Mince the garlic and ginger and slice the green onions.
  3. Heat a skillet over medium heat and add the ground beef.
  4. Cook the beef for 7 to 9 minutes, breaking it apart until browned.
  5. Add garlic and ginger and stir for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  6. Pour in soy sauce and brown sugar and stir until glossy.
  7. Spoon warm rice into bowls as the base.
  8. Top with the seasoned ground beef mixture.
  9. Finish with sliced green onions and serve warm.

Notes

Use leftover rice to save time. Pre-minced garlic and ginger also speed up prep. For variety, add steamed vegetables, switch up the rice type, or top with spicy mayo.
