- Cook the rice according to package directions and keep it warm.
- Mince the garlic and ginger and slice the green onions.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and add the ground beef.
- Cook the beef for 7 to 9 minutes, breaking it apart until browned.
- Add garlic and ginger and stir for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Pour in soy sauce and brown sugar and stir until glossy.
- Spoon warm rice into bowls as the base.
- Top with the seasoned ground beef mixture.
- Finish with sliced green onions and serve warm.
Notes
Use leftover rice to save time. Pre-minced garlic and ginger also speed up prep. For variety, add steamed vegetables, switch up the rice type, or top with spicy mayo.
