- Pat the ribs dry with paper towels and remove the thin membrane from the back if needed.
- Season both sides of the ribs with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
- Pour water and apple cider vinegar into the Instant Pot and place the metal rack inside.
- Cut the rack of ribs into two or three pieces and stand them on the rack in a loose circle.
- Close the lid and cook on high pressure for 25 minutes. Let the pressure release naturally for 5 minutes, then release the remaining pressure.
- Preheat the oven broiler and brush the ribs generously with barbecue sauce.
- Place ribs on a lined baking sheet and broil for 3 to 5 minutes until the sauce becomes sticky and slightly caramelized.
- Slice between the bones and serve warm with extra barbecue sauce if desired.
Notes
You can use baby back ribs or side ribs for this recipe. For extra flavor, try a honey barbecue sauce or a smoky chipotle sauce. The broiling step helps create that classic grilled rib finish.
