Ingredients

Turkey
  • 1 lb ground turkey
Sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch mixed with 2 tbsp water
Serving
  • 2 cups cooked rice
  • 1 cup broccoli steamed
  • 1/2 cup carrots shredded
  • 2 green onions sliced
  • salt and pepper to taste

Equipment

  • Large Pan
  • Mixing Bowl

Method

  1. Heat a large pan over medium heat. Add the ground turkey and cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks.
  2. Add the minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  3. In a bowl, mix honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and sesame oil. Pour into the pan.
  4. Stir and simmer for 2–3 minutes to combine flavors.
  5. Add the cornstarch mixture and cook until the sauce thickens and becomes glossy.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Serve over rice and top with broccoli, carrots, and green onions.

Notes

Do not overcook the turkey to avoid dryness. Fresh garlic enhances flavor. Add chili flakes or sriracha for heat, or swap rice with noodles or quinoa for variation.
