Ingredients

Chicken
  • 1.5 lbs boneless skinless chicken thighs
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp olive oil for cooking
Honey Butter Sauce
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley chopped, optional

Equipment

  • Large Skillet

Method

  1. Pat the chicken dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt and black pepper.
  2. Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add olive oil, then place the chicken in a single layer. Cook for 5 to 7 minutes per side, until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
  3. Lower the heat. Add butter to the same skillet and let it melt. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Pour in the honey and soy sauce. Stir well and let the sauce simmer for 2 to 3 minutes until slightly thickened.
  5. Return the chicken to the skillet. Spoon the sauce over the top and cook for another 3 to 5 minutes until coated and glossy.
  6. Sprinkle with chopped parsley and serve warm.

Notes

You can substitute chicken breasts for thighs, but avoid overcooking to keep them juicy. Add a squeeze of lemon juice for brightness or a pinch of red pepper flakes for a little heat. Serve with rice, mashed potatoes, or roasted vegetables for a complete meal.
