Ingredients
  

Steak
  • 2 strip steak large pieces
Marinade
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 garlic cloves minced
  • 2 tbsp lime juice
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • salt to taste
  • black pepper to taste
Toppings
  • 2-3 fresh jalapenos sliced
  • 1 tbsp butter

Method
 

  1. Pat the strip steak dry and let it sit at room temperature for 20 minutes.
  2. Mix olive oil, garlic, lime juice, paprika, salt, and pepper in a bowl to create the marinade.
  3. Rub the marinade evenly over both sides of the steak.
  4. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  5. Grill the steak for 4–5 minutes per side depending on thickness.
  6. Add sliced jalapenos during the last few minutes and grill until slightly charred.
  7. Remove steak, top with butter, and let it rest for 5 minutes.
  8. Slice against the grain and serve topped with grilled jalapenos.

Notes

Adjust spice level by removing jalapeno seeds for a milder flavor or keeping them for extra heat. This recipe also works well with ribeye or sirloin.
