Ingredients
  

Sloppy Joe Seasoning Mix
  • 1 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp mustard powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt or to taste
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
For Cooking
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup tomato sauce or ketchup

Method
 

  1. In a small bowl, combine chili powder, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, brown sugar, mustard powder, salt, and pepper. Stir well to blend.
  2. Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat. Drain any excess fat.
  3. Add about 2 tablespoons of the seasoning mix to the cooked beef and stir well.
  4. Pour in the tomato sauce or ketchup and mix until well combined. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  5. Serve hot on toasted buns. Enjoy!

Notes

Store seasoning mix in a sealed jar in a cool, dry place for up to 6 months. Try it with ground turkey or chicken, and feel free to add a dash of Worcestershire sauce or cayenne for extra flavor.
