Ingredients
  

Dough and Filling
  • 1 package refrigerated pizza dough
  • 12 cocktail sausages cut into bite-size pieces
Boiling and Topping
  • 1/4 cup baking soda
  • 1 egg beaten, for egg wash
  • coarse salt for topping

  • Parchment Paper
  • Medium Pot
  • Oven

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cut the dough into strips and wrap each around a piece of sausage. Pinch to seal.
  3. Bring a medium pot of water to a gentle boil. Carefully add the baking soda.
  4. Boil the bites in batches for about 30 seconds, then transfer to the baking sheet.
  5. Brush each bite with egg wash and sprinkle with coarse salt.
  6. Bake for 12–15 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm with your favorite dip.

Notes

  • To save time, use pre-cut sausages or prepare dough ahead of time.
  • These bites can also be frozen after baking and reheated in the oven for a quick snack.
