  • 4 boneless chicken breasts
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp salt or to taste
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
Creamy Sauce
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella or cheddar
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder

Method
 

  1. Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and garlic powder on both sides.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chicken and cook for 5–6 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add chicken broth and scrape up any browned bits. Reduce heat to low.
  4. Add cream cheese to the skillet and stir until smooth. Add more broth if needed to adjust consistency.
  5. Stir in shredded cheese and onion powder. Mix until the sauce becomes creamy and melted.
  6. Return chicken to the skillet. Spoon sauce over the top and simmer for 3–4 minutes until warmed through.
  7. Serve hot with your favorite side dishes like rice, vegetables, or mashed potatoes.

Notes

Use light cream cheese for a healthier version. For extra flavor, add herbs like parsley or thyme. You can also turn this into a baked casserole or prep it ahead for weekly meals.
