- Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and garlic powder on both sides.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chicken and cook for 5–6 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add chicken broth and scrape up any browned bits. Reduce heat to low.
- Add cream cheese to the skillet and stir until smooth. Add more broth if needed to adjust consistency.
- Stir in shredded cheese and onion powder. Mix until the sauce becomes creamy and melted.
- Return chicken to the skillet. Spoon sauce over the top and simmer for 3–4 minutes until warmed through.
- Serve hot with your favorite side dishes like rice, vegetables, or mashed potatoes.
Notes
Use light cream cheese for a healthier version. For extra flavor, add herbs like parsley or thyme. You can also turn this into a baked casserole or prep it ahead for weekly meals.
