Method
- Break the ground turkey into small pieces and place it in the crockpot.
- Pour in soy sauce, water, rice vinegar, brown sugar, honey, garlic, and ginger. Stir lightly to coat the turkey.
- Add the sliced carrots and peppers on top. Do not stir too much so the turkey stays in place.
- Cover the crockpot and cook on low for 8 hours.
- After cooking, stir the turkey to break it into tender pieces. Add the cornstarch mixture and stir again.
- Turn the crockpot to high and cook for 10 more minutes until the sauce thickens.
- Serve the teriyaki turkey over warm rice. Add sesame seeds and green onions on top.
Notes
You can freeze all ingredients in a bag to make this a freezer meal. Use leftover veggies, or add mushrooms, pineapple, or sesame oil for extra flavor.
