Base
  • 2 flatbread or naan
Filling
  • 250 g ground beef
  • 1 onion sliced
  • 1 bell pepper sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella or provolone cheese
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • salt to taste
  • black pepper to taste

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add sliced onion and bell pepper, and cook for 5 to 7 minutes until softened.
  3. Add ground beef and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook until the beef is browned and fully cooked.
  4. Season with salt and black pepper. Stir well and cook until excess moisture evaporates.
  5. Place flatbread on the prepared tray. Spread the beef mixture evenly over each piece.
  6. Top with shredded cheese and bake for 8 to 10 minutes until cheese melts and edges are crispy.
  7. Remove from oven, let rest briefly, slice, and serve warm.

You can customize this recipe by adding mushrooms, using sliced steak instead of ground beef, or trying different cheeses for extra flavor.
