- Boil the pasta until tender, then drain and set aside.
- Warm the olive oil in a large pan, then add the sliced sausage and cook until lightly browned.
- Stir in the onion and cook until soft. Add the garlic and cook until fragrant.
- Pour in the chicken broth and bring it to a gentle simmer.
- Lower the heat and stir in the heavy cream. Let it thicken slightly.
- Add the Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning. Stir until the sauce is smooth.
- Add the cooked pasta and toss until coated. Taste and season with salt and pepper.
- Let the pasta rest for one minute so the sauce can cling to each piece.
Notes
Use short pasta shapes for best texture. If the sauce thickens too much, add a splash of broth. Add cheese slowly to avoid clumping. Brown sausage well for the best flavor.
