Method
- In a large bowl, mix the ground beef, egg, breadcrumbs, minced garlic, Parmesan cheese, salt, and pepper until just combined.
- Form the mixture into small meatballs about 1 inch wide and place them on a plate.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the meatballs and cook until browned on all sides and cooked through, about 8 to 10 minutes. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt the butter. Add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Sprinkle the flour into the pan and stir well. Cook for 1 minute to remove the raw flour taste.
- Slowly pour in the heavy cream while stirring. Let the sauce simmer gently until it begins to thicken.
- Stir in Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning. Mix until the sauce is smooth and creamy.
- Return the meatballs to the skillet. Spoon the sauce over them and simmer for 5 minutes to absorb flavor.
- Sprinkle with fresh parsley and serve warm.
Notes
Serve over pasta, rice, or mashed potatoes for a complete meal. If the sauce becomes too thick, add a splash of milk or broth to loosen it. You can substitute ground beef with pork, turkey, or a mix for different flavor variations.
