Ingredients
  

  • 12 ounces egg noodles
  • 2 cans tuna drained
  • 1 can Campbell's condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup crushed crackers or breadcrumbs
  • 2 tbsp butter melted
  • salt to taste
  • black pepper to taste

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a medium baking dish.
  2. Cook the egg noodles in salted water until just tender, then drain well.
  3. In a large bowl, mix the soup, milk, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  4. Add the tuna, peas, noodles, and cheese, then stir gently until combined.
  5. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly.
  6. Mix the crushed crackers with melted butter and sprinkle over the top.
  7. Bake uncovered for 25 to 30 minutes until bubbly and lightly golden.

Notes

Don’t overcook the noodles or the casserole may turn mushy. Season well with salt and pepper. You can assemble this dish a day in advance and store it in the fridge. It also freezes well before baking.
